Theroux

I had known that the Peace Corps was kicked out of Malawi for a while b/c a volunteer made agogo anga mad, but didn't know it was Paul Theroux! What a claim to fame!

I've found this nice opinion piece he's written into the New York Times. It engages in one of my favorite pastimes: Bono-bashing.

On my way

I had my own entire row on the flight to London! I don't understand how BA can send such underbooked flights...but not complaining. I love traveling on European airlines - so much nicer. They gave me socks, a toothbrush, yummy vegetarian food and all the coffee I could drink. Lovely.

I'm in the Yotel in Heathrow, cooling my heels for the 14 hour layover before my Nairobi-bound flight.

Yotel is the Ikea of hotels - I love it! I'm wedged into a tiny room. There's not enough space for yoga, but I've got a bed and a shower. And free Internet. Heaven! I think Yotels will soon be everywhere.
